About the Opportunity

Our client, a specialist commercial fit out contractor delivering high-end workplace environments, is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join their team in London.

Working across a portfolio of prestigious commercial fit out and workplace projects, this is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional to take responsibility for project financial performance, procurement, contract administration and commercial strategy within a quality-driven business.

The Role

As Commercial Manager, you will oversee the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account, working closely with operational teams to maximise profitability, manage risk and ensure effective cost control.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing the commercial performance of luxury commercial fit out projects across London.

*

Overseeing project budgets, cost reporting, forecasting, valuations and cash flow.

*

Leading procurement activities, including subcontractor tendering, negotiations and appointments.

*

Managing subcontractor accounts, variations, contractual notices and final accounts.

*

Identifying commercial risks and implementing strategies to protect project margins.

*

Reviewing contract terms and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

*

Working collaboratively with Project Managers, site teams, clients and supply chain partners.

*

Providing accurate commercial reporting and financial updates to senior management.

*

Supporting and developing junior commercial team members where required.

About You

*

Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor within commercial fit out, workplace interiors or a similar construction environment.

*

Strong experience managing project costs, procurement, subcontractor accounts and final accounts.

*

A thorough understanding of construction contracts and commercial risk management.

*

Excellent negotiation, analytical and financial reporting skills.

*

The ability to work collaboratively with operational teams and manage multiple priorities.

*

A degree or relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is desirable, with RICS membership advantageous.
