Job description

Site Engineer | Long-Term Freelance Contract | Angus Area

Looking for a role where you can genuinely make an impact from day one?

We're supporting a civil engineering contractor who has an immediate requirement for an experienced Site Engineer with strong supervisory capabilities to join a live infrastructure project in the East of Scotland.

This is a hands-on position that would particularly suit an Engineer who's comfortable stepping beyond setting out duties and taking ownership of daily site operations, coordination and supervision.

The project itself is relatively straightforward in nature, involving:

Deep drainage and utility installations
Open-cut trench works
Pipe laying operations
Reinforced concrete chambers
Coordination of small site teams and subcontractors
Quality assurance and daily site records

With a compact workforce on site, this isn't a role where you'll be lost in a large management structure. Instead, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership, work closely with the delivery team and play a key role in keeping the project running smoothly.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience delivering civil engineering or utility infrastructure projects
Setting out capability and confidence using surveying equipment
Strong communication and site coordination skills
First Aid qualification (preferred)
Ability to start at short notice

What's on Offer?

Immediate start available
Long-term freelance opportunity
Mix of engineering and site leadership responsibilities
Small, collaborative site team
Established civil engineering contractor
Opportunity to make an immediate impact on a live project

If you're an Engineer who enjoys combining technical delivery with site management responsibilities and you're available to start quickly, we'd love to have a confidential conversation.
