Freelance Site Engineer / Senior Site Engineer
Location: Felixstowe Port
Contract: Freelance, CIS 
Duration: 12 Months

The People Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer to join a specialist subcontractor delivering a groundworks and reinforced concrete package at Felixstowe Port.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in groundworks and reinforced concrete, ideally with previous marine or port experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out setting out duties across groundworks and reinforced concrete activities.
• Managing quality assurance, completing ITPs and ensuring works meet project specifications.
• Managing and supporting junior engineering staff.
• Monitoring site progress and coordinating engineering activities.
• Liaising with the client and wider project team.
• Reviewing RAMS and ensuring works are delivered safely and in line with programme requirements.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer on heavy civils or groundworks projects.
• Strong experience with groundworks and reinforced concrete.
• Previous marine or port experience would be highly beneficial.
• Practical experience using Leica surveying equipment is essential.
• SMSTS certification.
• CAT & Genny experience.
• Strong communication and site management skills.
