Design Engineer

An excellent opportunity for a Design Engineer is now available to join an Oil and Gas Engineering Company based in Dundee. You will be joining a company with a strong reputation who are committed to providing an outstanding service to their customers. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for providing expertise in the design of equipment within a busy engineering environment.

Responsibilities:

* Prepare accurate engineering documentation, including drawings, calculations, specifications, and procedures, to support product manufacture.

* Develop and maintain effective design tools using departmental software.

* Mentor and train junior engineering staff.

* Review and approve colleagues’ designs, drawings, calculations, and procedures.

* Work in accordance with company procedures, ISO 9000 quality standards.

* Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders.

* Participate in meetings, training, site visits, and audits.

* Monitor performance against agreed objectives and contribute to continuous improvement.

* Maintain professional conduct in line with company policies and the employee handbook.

Experience:

* Confident using design software such as AutoCAD, Inventor.

* Experience using ANSYS and MathCAD

* Experience with ISO9000:2000

* Knowledge of manufacturing method and procedures.

* Knowledge of design methodology.

Education:

* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
